The Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) E-Course consists of 4 modules available for purchase. The Core Module (consisting of Modules 0 and 1) functions as an essential course that should be viewed as a prerequisite and foundational set of concepts and skills that accompany each of the other 3 Modules. If you are looking to take a Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, or Interpersonal Effectiveness Module, please also register for, and start your DBT learning journey with, the Core Module. The Core Module teaches Mindfulness, or the capacity to be present, alert, calm, ​and receptive to all kinds of experiences, how to be non-judgmental and non-reactive, how to diminish preoccupation with pain, fear, and excessive negativity, how to redirect your focus constructively, and how to think, act, and process information dialectically, or, in other words, in a balanced, effective way rather than in extremes and rigid, black-and-white thinking.
